October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Freschetta has been doing a great job supporting research with their Freschetta Proud to Support Pink program. Here are the details:Through October 31, 2011 when you purchase specially marked packages of Freschetta pizzas and Artisan Pizza Crusts, you'll be helping them reach their goal of a $50,000 donation to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Specially marked packages are printed with codes that you can enter at www.ProudToSupportPink.com. For each code entered, Freschetta will donate $1.00 to the center (up to $50,000).
Proud to Support Pink also has a section for people to share their breast cancer journey, or that of a friend/loved one.These stories will be displayed on Proud to Support Pink and their Facebook page. Additionally, they're giving away 50 pink iPod Shuffle players each week in October, and another 50 will be donated each week to four cancer centers around America.
We're fans of Freschetta pizza, especially the Simply Inspired line. They're really quite tasty, and who doesn't love the convenience of a frozen pizza!
