Spring Cleaning continues around our home and today we tackled the family room carpet. Just one look at the bottom right "before photo" should tell you exactly why I was all over the opportunity to try the carpet cleaning and deodorizing services of our area Stanley Steemer. This carpet was way over due for a good cleaning thanks to 2 adults, 5 kids, and a dog.You'll note we normally have a lot more furniture in this room than what is shown. We cleared out some of the chairs, toys, tables, and other items to make the process easier; but left the heavy lifting of the big sectional to the professionals. Our family room is a huge room, so I had planned on them telling me it would count as two rooms and they did.
They arrived on time, the staff was very nice, and the process was both efficient and effective. They just left about 20 minutes ago, so I won't be including after photos as the carpet is still very wet. However, it looks like they made a marked improvement getting out most of our stains.
At least half the kids are sniffling right now from Spring allergies, so I'm hopeful this professional cleaning wiped out most of the dirt, dust and particulates causing all their allergic reactions. Now to get them to take their shoes off as they enter to cut down bringing in more!
