You may be able to tell who's hidden under that witch costume in your son or daughter's class, but can you can you unmask the goblins that are online using the same everyday technology you are using? While you are busy posting your kid's Halloween costume photos on social networking sites from your smartphones, don't forget cyber witches may be trying to infect your families various devices.

How?  Take the Trend Micro Halloween Quiz like our family did and find out!
Did you take the quiz?  Are you thinking double Eeek!?  Which cyber monster were you most afraid of?
I think "Nicki" was the one that most spooked our family.  Nicki is the evil virus cyber criminals have disguised as a Google+ application for your Android smartphone. Nicki eavesdrop on you and records your conversations.  Potentially horrifying stuff!  And Nicki is just one of many lurking about.
What Can You Do to Face Your Fears?
Fortunately, our involvement with Trend Micro as one of their Digital Joneses families has prepared us for monsters like Nicki.  Since last spring we've been busy installing security software on our devices, backing up our data, using secure passwords, and adjusting privacy settings in apps and online communities.
I've compiled just some of my previous posts to help you and your family face your fears and arm yourselves and your devices against the cyber witches who are trying to haunt you:

Please note our family has received products from Trend Micro to help us examine the challenges contained within this year long study. However all opinions, thoughts and statements expressed here are our own.
